About the company
Jamila Piracci has nearly 25 years of experience in traded markets and provides guidance and strategic direction to financial services, energy, and commodity market participants. As Principal at Roos Innovations, a firm she founded, her work encompasses expert engagements, government relations support, trading documentation overhauls, compliance program design, and regulatory licensing strategies. Ms. Piracci is also a Market Expert on the Panel of Recognised International Market Experts in Finance and speaks and writes regularly on topics including energy policy trends, derivatives market structure, and emerging products and technologies. Previously, Ms. Piracci was a financial services consultant. Prior to that, she built and led the National Futures Association’s implementation of swap dealer oversight from its inception until 2019. Early in her career, Ms. Piracci spent time as an attorney for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and in law firm practices advising a range of derivatives market participants, including dealer banks, investment managers, and energy firms. She also was a lawyer for the International Swaps and Derivatives Association. Ms. Piracci serves as an independent director of a few organizations, including the Futures Industry Association, and is a member of the advisory boards of Itegriti Corporation and the Digital Dollar Project. She also supports industry dialogue efforts, including serving as government relations advisor to the Committee of Chief Risk Officers. In the public interest, she serves as a Member of the CFTC’s Energy and Environmental Markets Advisory Committee and as a Senior Fellow for Life:Powered.
