Lynne Rhode SVP and Chief Risk & Compliance Officer Lynne Rhode is SVP and Chief Risk & Compliance Officer for Hope Utilities. Prior to joining Hope Utilities, Lynne served as Assistant Deputy General Counsel at Norfolk Southern, specializing in Markets & Regulations and Environmental. She previously led the Environmental and Natural Resources Department of the Virginia Attorney General's Office. Her prior utility experience includes serving as Chief Legal Officer for a large utility, outside counsel through her work at Troutman Pepper in Virginia, and as an employee of Dominion early in her career. Lynne is a Virginia native now based out of the Hope Utilities Headquarters in Morgantown, West Virginia. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (BA) as a Morehead Scholar, the University of Virginia School of Law (JD), and the London School of Economics and Political Science (MSc in Regulation). She enjoys travel, hiking, and playing soccer. From coaching youth soccer and animal rescue to being involved in efforts to help disadvantaged students, Rhode embodies the Hope credo of making a difference in her community.
