Christian De Santis is an executive with over 20 years of experience in the energy industry, primarily serving as Chief Financial & Risk Officer across various countries. Currently, he leads the operations activities at Eni Trading and Shipping Inc. and previously held the Group CFO position at Vårgrønn AS, a Joint Venture between Eni and European private equity targeting 5 GW of installed offshore wind capacity by 2030 in Northern Europe. He also chairs and directs multiple energy companies. Christian’s extensive career in the oil and gas sector includes significant roles within Eni Group, where he focused on strategy, risk management, finance, tax, reporting, and compliance. From 2015 to June 2021, he was the CFRO of Eni Trading and Shipping Inc. in Houston, Texas, and its trading subsidiary in Mexico. Earlier, he held various positions at Eni Trading and Shipping SpA, with responsibilities spanning across offices in Rome, London and Brussels. His expertise also includes serving as CFO of an engineering services company in the upstream sector. Christian began his career at Eni in 2003 as part of the Technical Advisory Team, specializing in IFRS and US GAAP. He holds a Master of Science in Economics and Financial Institutions from Università degli Studi di Roma 'Tor Vergata.'
