- About the speaker
- David is responsible for our global commodities sales and trading businesses. David joined the firm in 2010 as the global head of trading for our precious metals business and in 2016 took over as global head of our precious and base metals business. In 2019, David added energy sales and trading to his mandate, creating a commodities sales and trading team under one leader. Leveraging his knowledge and experience, David’s global commodities business provides comprehensive coverage across both physical and financial markets. His previous roles include trading precious metals derivatives at Mitsui & Co USA, a Japanese trading house; and joining the buy side in 2007 at Touradji Capital Management, a premier commodities hedge fund in New York. David sits on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange advisory committee for the precious metals market and on the advisory board for the Meta Registry carbon trading platform. He also played an important role advising London Bullion Market Association and London Platinum and Palladium Market on market situations
